More than 20 Palestinians killed in overnight Israeli attacks in Gaza Strip, medical sources report

On May 27, Palestinians extinguished a fire at the site of an Israeli attack on an area designated for displaced people in Rafah, Gaza.

According to medical sources, more than 20 Palestinians were killed overnight in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, nine of them in the southern city of Rafah alone.

One person was killed in an Israeli air strike on the Barbarah refugee camp in the center of Rafah, the Kuwait Specialized Hospital in the western part of the city said.

In the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood of Rafah, three people, including a pregnant woman, were reportedly killed in an Israeli attack on a house belonging to the Abu Shabika family, which was housing internally displaced people, the hospital said.

Five others were killed in an Israeli airstrike in western Rafah, the hospital added.

According to the Kuwait Specialized Hospital, injuries were also reported in attacks on the Yabna refugee camp in Rafah, including damage to five houses.

In the north of the Gaza Strip, five people were killed and several others injured in Israeli air strikes on the Batran family's house, according to the Palestinian Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Al Awda and Al Aqsa Martyrs' Hospital, Israeli artillery shelling in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza killed nine people, including four children and a woman.

The hospital added that other people were injured in an Israeli airstrike on the Halaw family's home, also located in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

Also in central Gaza, a child was killed by Israeli shelling of the Bureij refugee camp, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital added.
