When is Equalizer season 5 coming out?

CBS

Fortunately, fans don't have to wait to find out the fate of the series, as CBS has already confirmed the release of Season 5.

At the time of writing, the number of episodes in Season 5 has not yet been determined (at least not publicly). Seasons 1 and 4 contained ten episodes, while Seasons 2 and 3 contained 18 episodes.

According to Product List, production on Season 5 will begin in July, but this information may be a gamble.

While it's likely that Season 5 will arrive a year after Season 4 ends, in spring 2025, there's a chance it could return as early as this fall.

After all, the previous seasons ended in May and could be continued before the end of the year.

Only one person is allowed to participate. The equalizer Season 5: Robyn McCall (Queen Latifah), also known as “The Equalizer”.

It would undoubtedly be a strange move by CBS to continue with its series and lose the main protagonist.

In addition to The Equalizer, the following characters are expected to return:

  • Lorraine Toussaint – Viola “Aunt Vi” Marsett
  • Tory Kittles-Marcus Dante
  • Adam Goldberg – Harry Keshegian

Marcus Dante, played by Tory Kittles, is a police officer with the New York Police Department who initially did everything he could to catch Robyn. Of course, he was not a fan of her vigilantism.

However, as the show progressed, the two became close allies and even potential romantic partners.

Marcus Dante was in quite a pickle when the season four finale ended. He had been forced to take a job with a federal task force in California, which forced him to leave The Equalizer.

Nevertheless, Tory Kittles seemed to hint in an interview with Screen Rant that his character would return for season 5.

Adam Goldberg – Harry Keshegian

As the fourth season ended, Harry had to shut down the new AI system he had developed, called MEL, named after his wife.

Goldberg can also be seen in God made me my friend, TakenAnd Once upon a time in Venice.

Lapira also runs a bar, which doubles as the team's secret base.

In the season four finale, Mel made a major decision that made her realize she needed to focus on healing and processing her PTSD. This led to her deciding to stop helping the Equalizer so she could do just that.

Some fans may recognize her from the original Fast & Furious film, but she is also a new voice in Pixar’s upcoming Inside Out 2.

What will happen in season 5 of The Equalizer?

By the end of season four, there have been some major changes in the status quo that could lead to a very different season five.

For one, two Equalizer teammates may no longer be part of the team: Mel and Marcus Dante. While Mel chose to work on her PTSD rather than continue her role on the team, Marcus was pushed to accept a new position in California.

Nevertheless, fans can expect the character to appear in the next season. The actor recently spoke to Screen Rant, where he revealed that he hopes the new season “Finally face Dante’s truth serum confession” and finally find out “what will happen to McCall and Dante.”

With that in mind, it would make a lot of sense if Season 5 started with a big time jump that would give many characters a completely new starting point. This could also mean that Mel won't be missing for an extended period of time.

Maybe Harry will even find a new purpose off-screen after having to end his AI project.
