‘Massive’ United star now ready to play in Saudi Arabia, 8 goals/assists this season – report

The Brazilian international had a difficult second season with the Red Devils and only made 32 appearances due to numerous injuries.

Casemiro started on the bench for Saturday's FA Cup final, but was left out of the matchday squad due to a muscle injury.

It is now reported that the 32-year-old is open to a move to Saudi Arabia if he is not seen as a central part of the club's future plans.

The Saudi Public Investment Fund will not hesitate to offer a considerable sum. Al-Nassr could try to reunite him with his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

The former Real Madrid player had a brilliant debut season (2022/23) at United, where he was valued for his offensive and defensive contributions.

This season, however, he has not managed to achieve that feat. Casemiro has been involved in eight goals, but has lacked consistency in defence.

The experienced top player was caught in an unfavourable position several times. He lost the ball an average of 12 times per league game.

Manager Erik ten Hag described him as a “great player” for 2023, but given interest from the Saudi Pro League, now could be the right time to part ways with him.

United have spent a massive €70 million on his services and have the chance to recoup some of that if Casemiro moves to Al-Nassr.
