Warriors superfan Fieri was comically mistaken for Celtics fan

Warriors superfan Fieri hilariously mistaken for Celtics fan Originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area

Guy Fieri sat courtside at TD Garden for Game 1 of the 2024 Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers—but don't get me wrong, the celebrity chef and Bay Area icon remains loyal to his beloved Warriors.

During an interview with MassLive before the start of the first game in Boston, Fieri was incorrectly identified by the newspaper as a Celtics fan. (h/t SFGATE)

The Food Network star was quick to remind everyone where his basketball loyalty lies, reaffirming his Warriors fandom with a post on X, the site formerly known as Twitter.

Fieri's long-standing ties to Golden State include an interesting rumor that he helped recruit Kevin Durant to the Bay Area in July 2016.

The well-known chef regularly sits courtside at Chase Center and was a frequent guest at Oracle Arena before the Warriors moved to San Francisco.

During an interview on NBA Gametime in April 2023, Fieri stated his unwavering belief that his Warriors have a chance to compete for the championship as long as Steph Curry is healthy.

Even though Golden State ended the 2023-24 NBA season on a disappointing note after missing the playoffs, you can be sure that Fieri will be at the forefront when Golden State challenges for the championship again next year.
