Fortnite Season 3 trailer confirms roadmap leak as Lethal Company revealed

Fortnite is based on Fallout and Mad Max (Epic Games)

A trailer for the Fallout-inspired new season of Fortnite has confirmed a previous leak that also suggested another Marvel crossover is in the works.

Thanks to dataminers uncovering information in advance, nothing is ever a real surprise in Fortnite, but now it seems like we know all the events for the rest of 2024.

Fortnite's Chapter 5 Season 3 features a Fallout crossover, with the T-60 Power Armour getting its own skin. There are also nods to Mad Max with vehicle equipment, and for some reason, Magneto from X-Men is also in the mix.

The trailer for the new season features Metallica's “Fuel” as the soundtrack, which suggests that some sort of Metallica crossover is also in the works – and that's exactly what an earlier roadmap leak predicted.

In addition to Metallica, Fortnite dataminer HypeX has discovered pirate-themed items such as a treasure map and a pirate cannon – hinting at a Pirates of the Caribbean crossover. This comes after previous leaks for a Fall Guys event expected on June 17.

Metallica, Pirates Of The Caribbean, and Fall Guys (as well as the recent Billie Eilish skin) were all part of a roadmap leak last month – which now looks like the real plan of what Epic Games has in store for the coming months.

Other collaborations in the leak include a Marvel season with Dr. Doom, as well as skins for Karol G and Snoop Dogg. Chapter 5, Season 5 also looks like the return of OG Fortnite, although the image isn't entirely clear.

Elsewhere, a crossover with indie hit Lethal Company has also leaked, featuring the orange suit skin and a dance emote.

There will also be a pickaxe with a stop sign and an oxygen tank as a backpack. However, it is unclear whether this crossover is part of the current season or is planned for later.

However, if you want to jump right into the new season, Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3, titled “Wrecked,” officially launched today (May 24).
