Instead of £25, the set costs only £12.

And not only is it less than half the price, but you'll also get £2 credited to your Asda Cashpot when you buy it – as part of the supermarket's mega event.

“It’s a Christmas present you’ve brought home and you’ll get £2 back as a bonus,” says Sally-Ann from Asda near Reading.

The offer is currently only available in-store and runs until May 27th.

“Do you need an Asda card to get these prices, does anyone know?” asked one person in the comments section.

To which Sally-Ann replied: “No, but at Lego you get £2 back in your pot when you scan the Asda app.

“Even at £12 it’s a bargain.

“I looked elsewhere and it costs over £20 in total!”

“Oh, I have to go to the big Asda!” insisted another.

The LEGO set is an “easy-to-build solar system toy for kids, plus an astronaut and space shuttle model kit” and “ideal for kids who want to build, play and go where no LEGO builder has gone before.”

“They look amazing,” Asda customers shout about the new pistachio-flavoured croissants hitting stores TODAY

Children can use the building blocks to build a toy rocket, an alien, an astronaut and an entire mini solar system, including Mars, Earth, the Sun and Saturn with its rings.

“The space toys can then be customized with alternative colors, shapes, eyes, expressions and a stand that allows the model to be rotated,” the set’s description continues.

When do supermarkets offer special offers with a yellow sticker?

The length of time during which supermarkets reduce their product offerings varies from store to store.

Here is a rough overview for each supermarket:

Aldi

Aldi uses a red sticker to indicate discounts on fresh products such as bread, meat, fruit and vegetables.

This is the case when they have reached the last day of their shelf life.

Items with red stickers are most commonly found during opening hours.

MS

The reduction may last for different lengths of time depending on the store, but is most likely to occur shortly before closing time.

Asda

Asda told Which? that yellow stickers will be put up twice a day – morning and evening.

cooperation

Co-op told The Sun that the reduced prices generally apply around four hours before the store closes.

Lidl

Lidl follows a similar practice to Asda and Aldi with twice daily discounts.

However, individual stores may decide to reduce prices during the day.

Morrisons

Online shoppers have said that Morrisons has the best bargains first thing in the morning.

However, the store told Which? that there are no specific times for the yellow sticker discounts.

Sainsbury's

Sainsbury's told The Sun that it was at the discretion of the store manager whether to offer discounts.

However, shoppers have reported that the best deals are available in the evenings after 6 p.m.

Tesco

Tesco has stated that there is no specific time for the price cut, but most people noticed that prices were reduced from 6pm.

Waitrose

As with most other stores, Waitrose customers have said that the best discounts can be found before closing time.

However, the store stated that there is no specific time for the yellow stickers to be applied.

“There are even glow-in-the-dark stones for nighttime visibility.”

Other items in Asda's mega event offer include a 20-pack of classic Walkers crisps, reduced in price from £4 to £3.

While Tropicana's 900ml juices in Mild Orange, Orange with Chunks and Apple flavours are all £2 instead of £3 – with 50p going into the cash pot.
