Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving decided to take turns terrorizing the Timberwolves defense in the Mavericks' 108-105 win on Wednesday night.

The Timberwolves' stars, on the other hand, struggled to find their rhythm in the series' opening game. Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns only converted 12 of their 36 field goal attempts (33.3 percent) and finished the game with a total of 35 points.

“We started off sluggish today. We got our energy back, then we were sluggish again,” said Edwards. “I think it was just us. Today it was all us.”

Now the Wolves must rediscover the energy that got them to this stage of the NBA playoffs. If Minnesota doesn't find its form, Dallas could head home with a 2-0 lead.
