Kevin Costner was once an extra in a Michael Keaton film

Before Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were extras in a Kevin Costner film, Costner was an extra in a Michael Keaton film.

In an interview with the eponymous presenter of Jimmy Kimmel Live! On Wednesday, Costner recalled how longtime friends and movie stars appeared as extras in his 1989 baseball classic Field of Dreams.

The scene, of course, took place in Damon and Affleck's home state of Massachusetts, in the historic Fenway Park in Boston.

“They were sitting in the stands, like college guys,” Costner told Kimmel. “And they were both leaning forward at the same time, leaning back at the same time, and looking at each other at the same time.”

Costner also mentioned to Kimmel that he met Damon and Affleck during breaks in filming. He recalled: “We talked and they were totally excited. They were on fire.”

Perhaps that was one of the reasons why Costner mingled with the extras on one of the set of “The 4000”. Field of Dreams was because he himself once worked as an extra.

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres in 2015 about her Ellen On the talk show, Costner recalled how he earned his Screen Actors Guild card by appearing as an extra in the 1982 romantic comedy Night shift.

Director: Ron Howard, Night shift starring Henry Winkler as Chuck Lumley, a night shift worker at the morgue who is forced to work with his boss's nephew, Bill “Blaze” Blazejowski (Keaton in his feature film debut).

Blaze, a self-proclaimed “idea man,” sets up a call girl service that works during his and Chuck's night shift at the morgue.

Where can we see Kevin Costner in “Night Shift”?

Kevin Costner appears in the fraternity party scene in which Blaze (Michael Keaton) organizes a party in the morgue with the fraternity members and members of his and Chuck's call girl service.

When recalling the scene in the 2015 interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Costner – who had a still image of the scene on a screen behind him and DeGeneres – said he believed he was 26 or 27 at the time of filming.

In the still image of Night shiftCostner's character – referred to in the film as Frat Boy No. 1 – stands between two of his fraternity brothers, holding a mug of beer.

“I remember screaming really loudly at that moment,” Costner recalled.

Henry Winkler also appears in the scene where his character Chuck freaks out when he stumbles upon the fraternity party at the morgue.

Night shift Shelly Long also plays the role of Belinda Keaton, a call girl with whom Chuck falls in love.

Costner last starred in the TV hit Yellowstone and is the lead actor, director and producer of the four-part Western epic Horizon: An American Saga.

Chapter 1 from horizon will be in theaters on June 28th. Batman Star Keaton, meanwhile, returns as “Ghost with the Most” in director Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice 2 on September 6th.
