Remembering the film legend Roger Corman.

• Producer, director and film legend Roger Corman, the “King of B-Movies,” died earlier this month at the age of 98. In a 2012 interview, superfan Mark McLemore spoke to Roger Corman about some of the hundreds of films he helped create, from attacking crab monsters and teenage cavemen to the periodic attempts by aliens to take over the world.

In November 2012, Corman was awarded the “Lofty” Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by the Loft Cinema in Tucson, for the second time ever, after German actor Udo Kier. On this occasion, Mark McLemore had the opportunity to speak with the legendary filmmaker and first take a look at what Corman sees as the audience's contribution to the creation of a truly successful film.

• In addition, film essayist Chris Dashiell revisits “The Tomb of Ligeia,” one of Roger Corman’s most successful Edgar Allan Poe adaptations, and showcases the talents of his friend Vincent Price.
