Here is the logo for the upcoming live-action Street Fighter film

We've now gotten our first look at the logo for Legendary Pictures' upcoming live-action film Street Fighter – and veteran fans will immediately notice that it's the same logo previously used for some of the video games in the long-running fighting game franchise Capcom was used.

Legendary Entertainment debuted the logo at the Las Vegas Licensing Expo, an event where famous brands come together to promote merchandise related to upcoming media projects.

The film – which is still a long way off – will be directed by Danny and Michael Philippou, who caused a sensation with their directorial debut in 2022 Talk to mea unique twist on the horror genre.

According to Collider, the two emphasized that they are aware of the possibility of “creating something that no one has ever seen before.”

This is not the first time that Street Fighter has been adapted into a live-action film. The 1994 film starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Raul Julia was critically panned. The film grossed $99.4 million worldwide on a $35 million budget.

In 2009 another film – Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li – was published; Despite costing $50 million, it only grossed $12.8 million at the box office.

The 2014 web series Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist was more successful; it ran for 12 episodes and was later released as a film.
