Did Jamal Murray really say playing Nikola Jokic is toxic? Exploring viral tweets

Nikola Jokic was recently asked if he would like to join the Serbian team for the Paris Olympics and fans were already divided over his answer. During a postgame press conference following the loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Jokic responded to joining the national team for the Olympics in an uncertain tone, saying he needed to think about it.

However, fans didn't hold back on his insecure comments and directly criticized him, saying that he doesn't seem to be particularly interested in basketball and is ready to enjoy Serbian music and head to his family who is into horse racing .

Feeling the heat of the moment, a viral tweet surfaced online claiming that teammate Jamal Murray had made a comment about Jokic, saying his horses had a better basketball IQ.

The tweet said: “Whenever we had a turnover during timeouts, (Jokic) commented that his 'horses have better basketball IQ' and that hurts, even if he's right.”

However, it is important to note that the tweet does not come from a trustworthy or real account. It comes from a parody account that has long been known for spreading ridiculous false claims as true claims, and for making the portrayals so accurate that they often baffle even those who observe the keeps.

Nikola Jokic has a life outside of basketball

Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic provided a refreshing perspective on the role of basketball in his life, emphasizing that it is not the focus.

Although Jokic is widely considered one of the NBA's best players and has led his team to historic success, he disagrees.

In an interview with ESPN's Malika Andrews that took place around the same time in June last year after he won the NBA championship, the 28-year-old went on to say, “Basketball is not the main thing in my life.” That's where I am good.”

Although he didn't directly mention that it was his horse stable in Serbia that excited him the most, he has been heard saying the same thing again and again in several interviews.

Nikola Jokic's great passion for horse racing was also evident last year when he and his family took part in harness racing at the Sombor Hippodrome in his hometown of Sombor, Serbia.

Despite his NBA championship victory with the Denver Nuggets, Jokic made it a point to support his family's horses at the local track.

The event also attracted thousands of enthusiastic supporters wearing T-shirts emblazoned with Jokic's portrait and inspirational messages. This transformed the normally peaceful town of Sombor into a bustling hub full of excitement.
