Knicks injury report: Will Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby play in Game 3 vs. Pacers?

The New York Knicks hope to take a commanding 3-0 lead in their second series against the Indiana Pacers when the two teams meet in Game 3 on Friday. The series has shifted to Indianapolis, which the Pacers hope will help even things up after the Knicks won two close home games. Indiana has also questioned the administration, so we'll see if there are changes there too.

The Knicks have some injury issues in their starting lineup as both Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby are injured. Brunson suffered a foot injury in Game 2 and also appeared to have tape around his hand, but returned to the game. Anunoby suffered a hamstring strain late in the second game and did not return. Here are the latest updates on both players.

Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby injury updates

Brunson was officially listed as questionable, but he is expected to return to fitness after returning in Game 2 and playing through his injuries. Anunoby has been ruled out and according to Adrian Wojnarowski he is unlikely to play in Game 4 either. This absence poses major problems for New York on the wing, especially with Julius Randle, Bojan Bogdanovic and Mitchell Robinson also out.

Alec Burks will likely enter the rotation in some capacity, although head coach Tom Thibodeau has largely relied on a seven-man group for the postseason. Burks was considered a big addition at the trade deadline, but was beaten for minutes by Miles McBride. Both will play a big role without Anunoby. Josh Hart will likely play at small forward, with Precious Achiuwa starting in front alongside Isaiah Hartenstein.
