Urawa beats Incheon 2-1 to win the AFC Women's Club C'ship

Urawa Reds Ladies won the AFC Women's Club Championship on Friday after overcoming a deficit in the final to beat South Korea's Incheon Hyundai Steel Red Angels 2-1.

Kiko Seike equalized in the 22nd minute after a broken pass before her strike partner Mei Shimada scored the winner from a corner four minutes later at the Urawa Komaba Stadium in Saitama.

Lee So Hee had given Incheon the lead after just 13 minutes when she took advantage of a mistake at the back and shot into the net from 25 meters out.

“I'm really happy that I won on this stadium when I hear this cheering,” said Japanese striker and Urawa young professional Seike after the final was played at their home venue.

The eight-team tournament began last October. The Asian Football Confederation initially canceled the final on March 22, but changed its mind and announced about a month later that it would go ahead.
