The Golden State Warriors, on the other hand, have the lowest odds at 0.7%. Golden State's pick will pass to Portland if it doesn't finish in the top four.

How does the NBA draft lottery work?

The process of the draft lottery is somewhat similar to the actual lottery. Teams are assigned four-number combinations before the draw, and those with worse numbers have more combinations.

Fourteen table tennis balls numbered 1 to 14 are placed in a lottery machine and four table tennis balls are taken out in a drawing.

There are four total drawings, starting with number 1 and ending with number 4. After the first four picks are awarded, picks #5 through #14 will be determined in reverse order of the regular season rankings.

The lottery results will be announced during the broadcast, but the actual draw will not be televised live.

Who are the top prospects for the 2024 NBA Draft?

The team that wins the lottery won't have an easy choice like Spurs did with Victor Wembanyama last year. That's because there's no consensus for the No. 1 pick in this year's class, creating real uncertainty at the top of the draft.

A trio of international talents – French forward Zaccharie Risacher, French center Alex Sarr and Serbian guard Nikola Topić – have been rated as potential top picks by draft experts. Risacher was taken first in an ESPN mock draft last month, while Sarr is at the top of The Ringer's latest mock draft.

Meanwhile, the top college prospects include UConn guard Stephon Castle, UConn center Donovan Clingan, Kentucky guard Rob Dillingham, Tennessee forward Dalton Knecht, Kentucky guard Reed Sheppard and Colorado forward Cody Williams.

G League Ignite guards Matas Buzelis and Ron Holland also heard their names called early. Holland is No. 1 on Bleacher Report's big list.

When will the 2024 NBA Draft take place?

The NBA Draft is moving to a two-day format this year. Round 1 is scheduled for Wednesday, June 26th, followed by Round 2 on Thursday, June 27th.

Where will the 2024 NBA Draft take place?

The first round of the draft will take place at the Barclays Center, home of the Nets, in Brooklyn, NY. The second round will take place at ESPN's Seaport District studios in New York City.
